Padma Bhushan Gujar Mal Modi was a renowned industrialist and philanthropist. He believed that strong people build a stronger country. Following this vision, he set up some of the finest factories, created an industrial town which generated large-scale employment and gave Indian manufacturing new wings. It was he who transformed the sleepy village of Begumabad into what we know as Modi Nagar today, a modern industrial town and an important educational hub.
